    Weather and Poor Harvest Conditions

Here we go again the next five days look like Overcast highs around 15 and 40% chance of rain. Yes its only September but the clock is ticking. Could be crop out if this continues for anouther two to three weeks.
Days are getting shorter etc. Grades will drop.

Same here. Acres and acres of wheat standing and waiting for some sun. Hopes of #1 are dropping quick.

Forecast is for 7 degrees in Calgary on Wed. with rain.

Hey boys, here's a thought. "Thats framing". The weather is either to dry or to wet. Another thought, lets blame the cwb for the bad weather, Comedian Weather Bureau, a truly trade distoring org..........

Yes, carp and complain...too much sun, too much wind, too many grasshoppers, too much rain, not enough rain, too early a winter, too late a spring, too much government, not enough farm support, too much bellyache.

Mostly, not enough smarts. Go get a factory job or go work at digging tarsands out of the ground so the Americans can have ALL of the world's oil. Geez, you guys are never happy.

Farming is a fun enterprise...enjoy it while you can.

What's wrong with expressing concern about the weather. There are thousands of dollars at stake either in grade or yield lost and extra harvest expense and mostly more stress. Maybe if you have excess combine capacity or live in the south where harvest starts in early August you have some breathing room but many don't. We all realize we are at the mercy of mother nature but within that context we still have many management decisions to make.

Actually took a sample of Canola off today. It tested 14.2. Hope to get started tomorrow if hits 12 and doesn't rain that 60 percent chance overnight.
On the bright side Wilagrow I am getting some bow hunting in.

This weather pattern is in it's 4'th week north of the yellowhead. Burbot - willy, regardless of farm size no one is more than 1/2 done most are 1/4 to a 1/3 done. Trying not complain but farming is not fun when you deal with poor grades, tough grain and bad weather that is starting to cost real big money. Record high grain prices for "top" grades mean nothing if your crop is sitting out in 90% humidity everyday.
On the bright side what we have taken off is yeilding quite well.
Burbot - Willy, I realy do not think you two have a clue on what is happening out in the real world. I am surpised to see that they give you that much internet time in the oldfolks home. I guess it keeps you from chasing those young nurses.
