Sask, what are you complaining about, heck your only missing a $1.00 on your wheat, I live in SE SK about 100 miles from Antler and my non-board price for feed barley here is only $3.12 ! I'm missing $2.48/bus, wheres the justice !

        http://extension.missouri.edu/xplor/agguides/crops/g04020.htm

Here is a link to the US bushel weights. I had always wondered the same thing. Barley, wheat and oats are the same as us, but ****, which should be the same as our canola is listed at 60lbs.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Eons ago when I was a district ag I remember getting lots of questions from farmers about the differences between the U.S. Winchester bushel and the Canadian/British Imperial and Avery bushels.

There's a really good explanation of the difference at:
          http://www.grainscanada.gc.ca/gradetools/test_weight/tw_faq02-e.htm

Given the differences, the weight standards don't make sense - to me, at least.

Actually, the oats is different. Up here, it's based on 34 lbs/bu but in the US its 32 lbs. Guess they like light oats down there.
