    CWB malt meetings

Been contacted by my CWB rep out of Airdrie, the CWB is holding a series of malt barley meetings. I unfortunately can't attend. There are two in AB one on the 7th then the 8th. I believe the locations are Drumheller and then Camrose. Also Rosetown SK is a location but unsure of the dates. Call your CWB rep or Winnipeg for more information. Will be interesting to see what they have up their sleave!!
Also been hearing that the Maltsters are now wanting the board gone. Funny they were afraid of 30-60 million dollar loss back in July, now perhaps they got all that cheap barley and now want nothing to do with the CWB!! go figure!
I encourage producers to go to the CWB malt meetings (funny never thought I'd hear my self say that!!) and send us back some information here!

ok folks I erred on this thread, these meetings are small focus group meetings and not public forums. The idea is to get some feed back on solutions to malt, going forward.
As I understand later there will be time for more input from a larger base of producers. Perhaps if some one has been invited and is going, we can discuss some of the ideas those producers had at that meeting later here.
Hate to admit it but I jumped the gun on this one!!! must have been the halloween spirit that had me looking up sleaves!!

On the Alberta ones, the CWB is open to being approached to participate. Contact your local farm business representative if you would like to be involved in the focus groups.
