Agreed cotton. I get the feeling Canada will be feeling the effect of the US dramatically slowing down imports from Canada fairly soon - not just in Ag but in all sectors. They are still by far our biggest importers of our product. Many other countries too are finding our dollar too high. Note the basis widening on canola, the price is there, but the if the sales aren't, that price does no one any good if the product doesn't move.

While I had originally spec'd canola to remain strong, inflation, in the US and the CDN $ to our better international customers currency, wonder how long before these high prices take some serious hits. I'm thinking not too long.

      Cotton, thoughts?

Well my view is the only thing going down in value is the dollar. And seeing how its the worlds reserve currency theres lots of them out there. So holders of these dollars are getting into tangibles and canadian dollars.

Just saw a comment this morning how China is starting to move their currency reserves away from the US dollar and to other more stable currencies. Lots of challenges ahead for the US to fund their ever growing deficit.
