Apparently for organic durum the buyback is 8 or 9 cents a bushel.

While at the same time for regular durum its $12 to $13 per bushel.

I wonder how much durum Stewart Wells grows?

Here is another example of how being innovative could make you money but because of the CWB and the Canadian Grain Commision (Canadian Standards vs Rest of the World) you cant get into a market.
I have 10 contacts in Montana and ND that would take all of our Durum Production (40000 Bus) for 20.00 a bushel Cleaned Common Seed. $800,000.00 in my pocket but no I have the CWB with 13.00 buy back $520,000.00 then I can get the extra $280,000.00.
But I am marketing, cleaning, trucking etc. HM Ken Ritter you have us handcuffed really well.
But for $3,200.00 I would gladly go to the CWB and then say GOOD BY.

                      CP,

The Organic Buyback can be swallowed... and put up with.

The commercial Durum CWB extortion fee is criminal.

On top of earning the higher price for the grain we grow US side.... on the return trip we could arbitrage the fertiliser market and really make the payback on our truck sweet!

The CWB is working for Agrium, Herbicide co's... you name it.... the Border causes us Billions in extra costs that won't get properly arbitaged UNTIL we can have the same opportunity as Organic Durum growers... THE CWB is the North American Berlin wall for grain growers!

1500 cars of corn NORTH into western Canada... and how much CWB Arbitage grain is allowed to flow back south?

Of course... if grain co's were allowed to arbitage the global market in western Canada... the value would even be greater... and extra $20-40/t on top of what we could get in the US... JUST LIKE Canola and Barley during freedom days in June and July!
