Just checked today ADM in LLOYD is at -40 no that's not this mornings temp and ADM in Velva ND is -10 for same month can someone explain why in Canada the Crushers Can gouge yet other areas their seems to be great prices for farmers.

You are the harp and the crushers are the pluckers. Tough beans...that is the free market for you. Love it or leave it.

I at least can leave it and deliver my Canola to Velva ND instead of LLoyd and on the Way home bring back 11-52-0 or 46-0-0. That's the Free market but the CWB wont let me do the same.

I'll take a stab at it, Skfarmer. ADM at Lloyd has an ample supply booked up, thus ugly basis. Velva has chewed through most of the US supply. Remaining canola, held by ND growers, is in stronger hands & Velva needs to bid higher in order to get those growers to sell. Velva knows they need to import canola from Canada, ND doesn't produce enough, thus another reason for better basis. Velva basis, if I figured it right, is $18.70 under.
