    Cottonpicken...UD Fed reserve??have you seen this?

    cotton...speaking of monetary policy....

    watched an interesting documentary online http://zeitgeistmovie.com/

    it is three part movie, you may choose to skip the first part depending on your religous perspective, but parts two and three are most intriguing...especially the third part that deals with the Fed and implications for the global economy and govt's around the world.....

    I would be curious on your thoughts.....and thoughts of others if they take the time to watch this documentary...i do not buy into all of it, but interested take on history and future

    Well i'm flattered;

    The religion part was interesting;
    but somebody like Tom is going to have a hard time with it.Personally i have always knowen less than nothing on the subject but i always take conspiracy theories with a grain of salt so i dont know about the whole jesus thing.

    When it comes to the money thing i have a hard time believing in any sort of conspiracy,because all the indicatators are out in the open and everybody can place their bets.As complicated as it may be it is still a form of darwanism where the strong/smart survive.Which in the free markets is the way it should be.

      Hmm, I find it amazing how (and where for that matter) they could determine from hieroglyphics that the Egyptian god Horus - performed miracles, was the lamb of god/ the light, was crucified (a form of execution invented by the Romans 3000 years later) and that he was dead for 3 days and was resurrected. No historical citations, because there are no credible ones that exist of course. All this for the express purpose of somehow implying that Christianity supposedly just copied these “myths” from earlier cultures. While there are many historians that dispute the miracles and divinity of Jesus, no credible historians dispute that he existed and to suggest such shows an incredible bias and break from reality. There’s a reason the movie lists no citations. It just goes on and on building one kooky theory after another.

      Fast forwarding through the various other conspiracies, it almost gets funny. If anyone is interested, Popular Mechanics does an excellent job of debunking the 911 conspiracy nuts at
      http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.html

      Why bother with facts when they can so inconveniently get in the way of a good conspiracy theory and the resulting book/movie/speaking deals.
      Maybe I’ll ask Elvis, I heard he was consulting on an upcoming fake Mars landing…..

        I share many of the same concerns over the movie, and have never been one for conspiracy theories....about church, 9/11 and one world govt all at once driven by the US Fed Reserve takes the whole conspiracy theory thing to a new level.... ....the site does have further info and does reference all sources and even has a section correcting parts of the show...

        On the US Fed side of the issue there have been political foes of this institution, and one of he republican pres candidates has vowed for drastic and major changes to it.....Ron Paul....not suprisingly fans of this movie are pushing support his way...

        i found it to be good entertainment none the less

          Northfarmer,

          None of the issues this "Movie" brings forward are new... or particularly revealing.

          The North / American Union of 2005 does provide an interesting back drop to our currency moves... between US and CDN $$$.

          That these people would attack Jesus would be expected...

          "They" are willing to proclaim "Love" as the salvation of the world as we know it... for now... I am waiting for the other shoe to drop... the One world leader that knows best for all... and will lead us out of this drudgery!

          Interesting how the "end" of our civilisation as we know it... is being followed in minute detail as prophesied in the Bible in many different ways!

          To know before hand what has happened/is going to happen (using biblical prophecy)... which the movie makers themselves depend upon to predict a one world government etc. is a very handy plot device!

          Claims that there I as a believer am waiting for the "end of the world" are simply wrong... how the Anti-Christ portion has anything at all to do with Part II and III of the movie... again adds to the lack of logical progression in the "plot" itself historically! Linkage by association is deceptive to say the least!

          Jesus Christ very plainly said; "My Kingdom is not of this world..." [John 18:36]

          "KJV Ephesians 3...world without end. Amen"

          Interesting subject... this has a much bigger effect on our monetary system than 99% of people think about!

          From that perspective it is interesting... providing a solution for the problems outlined would have been much more productive in the last 2 parts... which leads to the question... why did they make this movie?

          Because they could, they did!

            Thanks northfarmer, I did see the list of sources, but none of them are properly referenced. Are we supposed to sift through everything all the other conspiracy theorists have said and then try figure out which unsubstantiated claim came from which source? There's a reason conspiracy theorists purposely try to make it difficult to check their sources.
