    Global Warming Poll

    I'd love to see all handles weigh in on this.

    A:yes the earth is warming because of man
    B:no the earth is not warming
    C:yes the earth is warming but not because of man

    Has anyone changed their mind from last time.(was it last winter?Already)

    Perhaps a better question is : Would it be better for mankind with a warmer or cooler world? Or more importantly how fast will the change occur and can we adapt?

      or a better question, given the fact that the earth's various climatic zones have experienced change over time, do you beleive that the actions of mankind have any measurable impact on these changes?, yes or no?

      no.IMHO

            another vote for C

            everyone seems to have forgot about this:
            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Ice_Age

            Everything moves in cycles, markets, global temperatures, clothing styles, our wives moods.. ect.

            I don't think there is enough evidence to support the claims we are affecting the climate.

              Since when are questions of science settled by an opinion poll?

                Perception is reality. Use a little common sence with our footprints and adapt.

                  CottonPicken,

                  I am for C.) with a slight influence caused by A.)

                  How significant is A.) in the trend?

                  10%, 20% of the rise in tempature?

                  It is only reasonable to conserve and reserve our resourses as much as is reasonable for our next generations!

                  If we have the self discipline and resolve... we COULD reduce our footprint in energy consumption by 50% over the next 50 years.

                  That is a reasonable goal, a responsible goal, and one the Conservatives are working to acheive.

                  If we work smart... we can do much better than we do now... but change is painful for many!

                  Just try to buy a new 100hp diesel that gets 50mpg for a farm vehicle.

                  They are allowed in China, India, S.America... and Africa... but not Alberta. They don't qualify because they don't burn enough fuel!

                    Definitely B. There is as much proof of cooling as warming. Since 1998 the earth has been cooling. The antarctic ice pack is growing. Why would I jump on an ndp bandwagon? Everything, and I mean everything they believe in has been historically and otherwise flat out wrong.
                    Lets see.
                    1. The cwb, the leftys are wrong.
                    2. Crime, the lefties are wrong
                    3.Afganistan, wrong
                    4.Capital punishment, wrong
                    5. global cooling of the 1970's, wrong
                    6.Abortion, wrong
                    7.welfare, wrong
                    8.Indian affairs, wrong
                    9.Islam, wrong
                    10.Running Saskatchewan, wrong
                    11.running ontario, wrong

                    13. pumping oil, wrong
                    14. animal rights, wrong

                    Name the issue, and chances are they are wrong
                    This alone should give one pause about the global warming farce, let alone the FACT that there is no evidence of warming. It is not a fact, and there is no consensus. The only consensus is that the U.N. is trying to impose a global tax on carbon emissions, which was the real agenda at bali. The agenda no one seems to want to talk about.

                    Next time these idiots want to blow our money on a conference, I suggest they hold it at my farm in December. They can study the effect of 3 feet of ice on fishing success, the effect of 30 below temperatures on moose ticks, the effect of 30 below on their bare arses. Oh yeah, and the only way they can stay warm, would be to use renewable fuels. No natural gas, no coal, just wind, and solar. Good luck to them.
                    Tim Ball is right, global cooling is much more a concern than warming, IF there was warming...
                    Read up folks, don't get sucked in to a united nations scheme to take your money.

                        Freewheat,

                        That was entertaining!

                        However...

                        1.) It is not necessary to Change,

                        Survival is not Mandatory;

                        2.) I can't change the direction of the wind,

                        But I can adjust my sails;

                        3.) Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world,

                        Indeed they are the only ones that ever have;

                        ***** If we don't regulate ourselves and what we do...

                        Someone else will! *****

                        Perception is reality... especially for the majority of the world population of humanity... which live in the coastal areas of this planet...;

                        Over 3 billion people... WILL be taken seriously... and a good chunk of them believe they are going under water in a few decades!
