And one more question for you.

Are you sitting on physical grain? why wouldn't you sell your grain and buy back futures.

      Remember the offer below, CP?

Tell me when you are going to be "live". Weber must have forgotten to tell us when you are performing live.

I really want to hear your predictions and write them down, as will all Agri-villers, particularly because you bless all of us with such predictably caustic replies.

Looking forward to it CP. I'm in Saskatoon.

I would like 7.5 minutes from you on the canola market and 7.5 minutes on the wheat market for an interview from a farmer's perspective for a radio show that will air in January during Crop Production show.

If you are as fluid in person as you are in here, I'd like to book 10 minutes of camera time as well for a show that will air nationally in March.

Let's see how you react with a mic and camera in your face.

306-657-3456. When you call, please tell receptionist you are Cotton picken.

I'll update the readers here when you do call - not who you are - just when you call.

      P.S.

      I don't eat lunch.

John Mayko (Canola Council Agronomist) made an interesting comment on stored canola at a recent Alta Canola Producers Com. meeting and the need to check bins to make sure they aren't heating.

A 5,000 bu and $10/bu needs you have a $50,000 investment. If you had $50,000 worth of $20 bills stacked in the bin versus grain, how often would you check the bin (make sure it hadn't been stolen, water was leaking on it, etc)? How often do you check canola bins to make sure not heating? If you look at stored grain as a cash investment that can be used anywhere, how does this change marketing strategy?

          Lots of questions:

          1:Jekyl and hyde cwb issue

I've said this before, the "THEORY" of the cwb is sound. The forcing of everyone to comply is wrong. The allegations of cwb missmanagent can be proven or dis-proven if the books were opened and the "TIMING" of the sales is open for everyone to see. This is a CRUCIAL point. Many wont understand this but there are right times to sell and wrong times to sell. The cwb could very well be manipulating markets lower depending on the TIMING of sales. If this were true somebody should go to jail. The last time i brought this arguement up it fell on deaf ears.If somebody wants me to be more detailed on this issue i will.Otherwise i wont.

          2:Cwb b series

I'm not going to defend or promote any of the cwb systems that are available to us.I will simply say that in my opinion wheat is a sell.A double from here is a long way off.It could(probably will) go higher but the major move in the short to medium is over and the correction will probably be so vilent farmers will think its all over, when in reality it will be sideways trade for a while. If it breaks even higher than my imagination, great were still all lovin it.I've already posted my calls on the other grains and oilseeds.

3:why is he giving away free advice

Jim is stinking rich.He is simply being a good person.Karma, ever heard of it?Why does anybody give advice away?

          4:Physical grain?
I always gain a grade year over year, seed for me(and everyone else) if things go wrong, some of my grains dont have futures(mustard),rolling forward future contracts?a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Why am i explaining myself to someone who two posts previous admitted the same thing?

          4:Larry Weber

I have been in contact with Larry and seriously considered his offer,if like i said before, i didnt smell a trap.

5:why dont you get out of farming

because i love it,if you dont your the one who should get out

Over three years of posting on this board and i'm still the most optimistic person here, even after our price run up.

I have no problem being called stupid. No skin off my nose. But to say that Rogers isn't selling something is just plain wrong. How many times did his RICI index fund get shown during the interview? What was his last line (when he wouldn't pick a particular commodity)? He said, just buy my index.

Also interesting that he said there haven't been any real droughts in the last ten years. I would beg to differ. What about Australia (2 years in a row), India, Argentina, Ukraine, the US. Real astute!!

One other questionable assumption. I do agree with Rogers about a US recession and that its effects will be felt around the globe (See IMF and World Bank comments). But to say that a recession will have no impact on consumption seems to be ignoring a basic economic outcome.
