I'm afraid I did not share your passion about the Old Goat pictures!

Perhaps if I learned how an engine works, I would be more interested. I combine, but I don't know anything about engines. But I think the pay would be the same in any event!

          Silverback,

It is simply amazing how my money, can be used AGAINST ME, to monopolise the Internet...

When a public official, responding pubically... representing an organisation I am REQUIRED to pay for through the "single desk"... is fairly and correctly criticized for making statements that are at best quarter truths... can threaten free speach simply because they are the biggest bully with the most money; to beat up, on us...

The simple fact that the CWB needs to try to trick folks about the "single desk" and where it originates from...

Speaks volumes about how weak a position it is the CWB are truly standing on!

I have not noticed anything out of the ordinary, unless the thin skin of some collectivist's of our favorite deginated area grain marketers and their pro monopsony supporters do not like our opinions.

Trust me it is very personal, the very personal assault and restraint of my own freedom.

                cotton,

What Tom is referring to, is an interview, in a public newspaper, by a CWB staffmember who was acting as officialy representing the CWB.

                Complaints abounded.

The staff member's name was erased from all threads.

I am confident that everyone has forgotten the name of the CWB's representative.

But the problem is this...if staff actually do lie, and statistically it must have happened at least once since 1947, and farmers are disallowed exposing a lie, serious repercussions stem from the free flowing of information.

                It's called accountability.

I think we should all be able to say what ever we want.Censorship is a slippery slope.

You can say anything you want as long as you have some basis to believe it is true and not just wish it was true.

Does the CWB wish it were true that the Board themselves were legislated to pay the CWB's national Licensing costs instead of the Feds being legally legislated to pay them?

                            Your comment:

                            "Censorship is a slippery slope"
is particularly acute at this time in grain marketing/farming.

Glad there are clever young farmers out there. They have to be.

And who is going to decide if the "basis" is valid AS?

If I feel I deserve the freedom to control my own destiny as well as the freedom to enjoy my own property, who on this earth should be able to decide that my feelings are not valid and should be suppressed?

Who ever said that one could roll through life without ever getting their feelings hurt or having someone disagree with what they say?

You may be happy to give your freedom of choice away to somebody else, but I am not
