In ability to forward price

I'm finding it frustrating that my ability to forward price and lock in some decent prices is severally compromised. You buy acres with good prices but if you can't lock those values you are in left field. Canola and Peas seem to be the only crops you can hedge with any degree of certainty. The barley issue is at best grey and the lack of a basis hurts wheat. I grow a number of crops but cereals is still an important part of my rotation. So much for the CWB letting us be businessmen.
