Agstar there are no American grain companies locking in wheat futures prices because the futures are going limit up in which case the actual price is rising faster than the limit up price. Why lock in a futures price that is lower than the actual price of a commodity.
I am happy to have 30 percent of my Canola left to price, I am letting it go in little bits. Started pricing new crop. Just called my dad today, let him know some prices I just locked in.
My two year average price could be higher than the highest price he ever got in only one sale. Well we have a new pro coming out soon. Will tell us more what the board has been up to. Lets not forget all the poor farmers that fixed priced and supported the current pro.
Dalek I don't much get you. I think you should hold back a bit. I think you mentioned something like 6.5 per bushel for soft red winter wheat in Ontario. Isn't that a bit low?
