    Ag-chieve?

Anyone got any advice about dealing with David Drozd and his marketting advice company Ag-chieve? He has a one day seminar in my area this week and wants to charge 375 dollars for it. Sounds a little pricy. Then when all done will get a pitch to join the marketting club.

Forgot to mention he will take up to 40 people in his seminar. Lets see 40 times 375 = 15000. dollars. First glance it seems a little much for the farm boy. Wondering thinking should be able to spend marketting money better somewhere else.

        I've heard of him.
I beleive he is out of Manatobia.
I advised not selling any wheat for the longest time, then recommended 100% sold. Market has done big moves since then. He did better than most adviser's but he is another one that missed the commodity bull.

I think he also recommended booking next years production at the same time as the 100% sale.

This is what i've heard second hand

David is out of Winnipeg. I have hired him for the last 3 years. He has been very good over the years. The only problem this year is that he advised selling the majority of the rs wht in Dec. He has been right on other years and still has good recommendations with the other crops.

ya, i've heard of him, a lot of people sold all their wheat on the Oct 4th spike! if that wasn't bad enough, they also sold most of their 08-09 wheat crop(all on his recommendation)! now thats a kicker! on the other side he's been holding off on canola sales, which has payed, but still it would be tough to swallow having sold next years crop so low!

I hear he is in St. Gregor, Sask.
A marketting club there has been using him. They also said he was very wrong on wheat. But holding more canola. Just shows even the experts don't know it all and marketting is still 50 percent luck in my opinion.
Hmmm one advised to sell Dec. another advised to sell oct. That could be part of the personal experience and individual situation from one farmer to another for risk, storage, time to pay bills etc.
