got the impression from some I have talked to that Busch won't be doing CashPlus here any more. Seems like the CWB burnt that bridge by using or should it be abusing its deal with AB in the media and against its own Minister.
Find it hard to believe but, heck guess it could happen.!

        So..

... if AB came to Canada, rented land, grew a crop, and took their barley back to the USA,

.... and if the crops they had contracted in the USA were valued at $9.04,

... would that mean, according to the rules of NAFTA, that the CWB could not require a buyback on the grain grown in Canada, if the crop was valued under $9.04?

        A dinner so(wheat)doku.

        Puzzles are fun.

See the CWB has one purpose and only one purpose,
To steal western Canadian Grain and Give it to our Premium Customers for a Discount.
              Create Jobs.
Put all responsibilities on the Farmers back and Charge every thing back to the Farmer.
OK their is three or four but I two saw the Barley contract and said to our guy you can shove this where the son doesn't shine. I grow Malt barley every year around 500 acres its got a fit but last year it looked like I would have a pay day well guess what NO.
Again we see how the US farmer gets decent offers $9.04 VS $6.50 something is wrong in WINTERPEG>

Darn you Hopsing!! made another deal have ya?? well gosh darn. Then again congrats, its always good to end a career on a high note. Soon barley will be removed from the shackles of the monopoly. No turning back now, even the Liberals won't save it!
It is comforting to know that with out the extreme pressure progressive farmers, farm groups, MIAC, WGEA, and the barley producing provinces of AB and SK that have been an integral part of making sure prices for malt from the CWB have continued to increase. By fighting for survival the challenges to the CWB forced it to continually increase its prices. Still not where they should be but at least an improvement.
Going into a new future where producers can sell barley freely, we will look back at the past, - not in reflection - but to ensure we never make the monopoly mistake again.

The real benefit about Agri-ville is we have eyes and ears everywhere. I would encourage everyone to report what you are being offered and what you are hearing in the coffee shop/curling rink.

Decisions have to be made by all members of the supply chain from farmer to maltsters to brewers.

One thing I would encourage is a discussion between a farmer and a selector about the price the CWB recieves from the commitment. There is a matching between the selector purchase price and the price under the CashPlus. You can look at things like storage payments and other additions to determine the true CWB cost.

Ag Minister ITZ wants cheap barley for feeders, hoping the tin foil hat crowd and decoder ring farmers will put lots of barley in the ground this year. Oh yeah and no vacation South, either, stay home and invest in ethanol. Wow what next. Raise ostriches, cause they taste good and are good for ya to eat...... and spend most of their time with their heads stuck in the sand.

Not going to feed the troll. Something so profoundly stupid shouldn't be rewarded with a response.
