The CWB debate was never an issue in the last election. Coserative members were elected in western canada to kick out the liberals or because conservatives were always elected. By making it an issue Mr's Ritz and Anderson may find out where the 14% of producers who want no CWB live.

Simple
Liberals - Like institutions (Most spend their evenings their) Control (Gun program)and not doing any thing just talk and talk (Ralphy boy is famous for this). Create a big Bureaucracy
NDP - Create Jobs the heck with the farmers who have to do all the work, take all the risk and are rewarded with peanuts. Keep Labour happy. Jack is their for you.
Green - Sing kumbia and smoke some grass farmers have lots.
Block - Its good for rest of Canada but Quebec wants nothing to do with it. You guys can keep this one were on our own.
Conservatives - Giving Owners of product the right to sell to who ever, where ever, when ever they want. Its your risk you should be rewarded.

For the record SF3, the Green Party are libertarians and believe in free markets and would likely dump the entire CWB faster than you can say granola munching.

Agstar77,
Obviously Gun Control has NOT been abolished.
Chairman Ritter is still got his gun... and is still using it to take our farm and communities financial resourses.
Remember... "You can get much more done with a gun and a smile... than with just a smile!"

Don't think anyone wants an election over barley. Let alone all the work in the existing bills going on right now, no leg change for barley would occur.
If Liberals were going to force an election, they would have at budget.
Remember for anything to change, introduce the bill, second reading, off to committee, then to third reading. Then off to the liberal heavy senate who does one, two readings and off to committee which may or may not become a road show. Then off to third reading. Then to royal ascent.
Depending on the number of the bill introduced, which depends when it comes up, and no election, and no liberal delay in the senate, and full party support (um, ya right), barley freedom day is just around the corner.
Canadian political system. Patience is required.

wd9,
It is disturbing that we expect Minister Ritz to do... what we ourselves failed to do... govern the CWB and have grain growers drive the change from inside the CWB.
David Anderson said it well on the steps of the Regina Legislature:
Organic growers have CWB pool exempt export licenses... because CWB directors gave them out to designated area grain growers themselves.
PROOF POSITIVE that marketing choice can happen WITHOUT legislative changes THROUGH Ottawa.
Why are we such wimps?
Why have we allowed wimps like Ritter and FLAMAN destroy so many of our NEIGHBOUR grain farmers?
WHY DO WE LET CWB DIRECTORS LIKE CORNY, HILL, OBERG, MCDREARY, FLAMAN, and TAzer... ruin our farm communities?
