    Cash For Farmers

Did all Alberta farmers get a cash injection, before the election? CAIS came through, as well as Alberta Farm Recovery Funds? Wow what a coincidence eh!

    Burbert,

I would dearly enjoy marketing our farms produce, building a stronger community... and not ever needing another government payment.

    What do you want Burbert?

I asked kindly for an export license, for my wheat.

I was offered $21.99/bu in Sweetgrass on Tuesday the 26th of Feb.

I aske the CWB nicely for an export license... on the same basis as organic growers are issued the licenses.

Chairman Ritter... Said to me, to my face... Tom you are the least of my worries.

Then he said: Why don't you just market your wheat the way I do, and sell it through the pool.

$21.00/bu to my marketer of Choice... or $9.00/bu through the CWB. Right here on the North American great prairie...

    AND

They were going to give me 2 months to deliver this wheat in Montana at Sweetgrass. $11/bu premium... do you know how many loans that would pay out burbert?

We get accused of undercutting the CWB.

We get accused of cherry picking. Finding a market that wants to deal with our farm and NOT the CWB. That makes us evil?

If I seel my Canola today... for twice what you sold it for months ago Burbert... does that make me evil as well?

Would like to send me the $11/bu Burbert... for the missed wheat marketing opportunity that YOU lost for my family?

I for one learnt along time ago under Ralphy boys rule that lots was promised and nothing was delivered. But what the CWB cost me (VADER YOU SHOULD PAY)$635,000.00 on the grain I still have to deliver. That would leave me with All my inputs paid for 2008 (ALL) plus all my payments. HA also the Tax man would get his share to help out Quebec. But know I have to protect the Pool and Keep useless Pawns at work.
Simply young farmers want the world market, we are educated, we understand grain marketing and whats happening in the world plus agronomics and Banking. Its a business made up of Family members etc. My 80 year old father will be the first to tell you all the CWB ever did was control the prices we received and made sure that the Queen (mother England didn't starve)Elevators, and labour came first and farmers last.

Tom,do what Ritter advises. He is your better.Having been washed in the aura of the CWB building like Flaman he has become infallible.Like the high priests of old,he has seen the scrolls. You must have faith. The prophets have predicted PROFITS.Join the pool.Bow down, kneel and give your faith-your very soul-to the holy pool!

Well fellas, here's what I did, while I was banned from this site, for the 2nd time. Took some of the cash I got and joined the National Farmers Union (NFU). Then sat back and watched due process again in the Canadian appeals court, Manitoba, on Feb 26th LOL's. Now the Minister is promising legislation, and other tricks, he won't reveal, just yet, wow what a circus! Where do they dig these Ag guys up from, failed farmers that become politicos, what a joke.....

                      Burbert,

MUCH Better to have tried and failed... than to have NEVER TRIED.

Minister Jerry is/was as innovative, well intentioned, and hard working gutsy fellow, who aims to create a better community...

The Honourable Ritz did not become Agriculture Minister... because he hid behind illusions of grandeur... He did what it took to succeed... and beat the odds that were against him and his family... and now clearly is leading us... to become much more than a mediocre people... who chain ourselves behind the darkness of self pity and envy.

We are PROUD western Canadians with a heritage of tenacity... we don't give up... we fight for our next generation... to make this a better planet for all people...to be a part of a creative fellowship of 'cando' folks!

BE POSITIVE. BUILD a BETTER Canada. That is where the Honourable Minister Ritz... and Right Honourable Prime Minister Harper are motivated to lead us...

I for ONE appreciate the great job they do; in more than trying circumstances... in the longest standing minority government in the history of Canada... this, the greatest country: on planet earth!

                      God Bless Canada!

Wow. If I ever did join the No F*&^$() Use I sure wouldn't ever admit it. I don't think I could drink enough to stomach being an NFU member anyway though.

Unless a bunch of us joined it and changed it from within. Imagine that one!

You may be onto something. They only have something like 2000 members in Ontario, we could join up, throw the hippies out, donate all their money to AgCARE to promote conventional agriculture and GMOs and then vote to disband.
