    HOHOHO!!!!!!!!! well said Burbert you do have a humourous way of making your point. The program will have nothing to do with moving forward it will all being into saving money for the government and reducing their future liabilities, got to pay for those new jet fighters some way. Hope that if they get them that they put the proper computor software so they can operate in with the rest of the allies in an altercation, not like the last batch. Sorry got off on a bit of a rant.

      I do NOT get it Burbert...;

      "Growing Forward 2 represents a $3 billion investment over five years in strategic initiatives for innovation, competitiveness and market development, in addition to a full and comprehensive suite of business risk management programs that will continue to help farmers withstand severe market volatility and disasters. Investments in the three priority areas are critical to facilitating the sector's expansion and leveraging of provincial-territorial and industry investments to increase productivity, growth and jobs."

      So.... Minister Ritz et.el; are spending 3 billion over 5 years... they are voluntary programs... you need not participate in...

      And you spin this into a lack of commitment to Agriculture in Canada?

      You want a cheque in the mail box that comes each month?

      A need based program is 100 times better than pay everyone.

      Have a very Merry Christmas!

      God Bless Canada!!!

          I don't often agree with what Burbert rants about and I will admit I am a right winger but he is right on the money. These governments want to make it look like they are going to help us with all there fancy programs. I would actually like to know how much money gets handed out in actual times of hardship. We have had some tough years recently and it doesn't seem to matter how an accountant figures it out we still never qualify for a payout. Believe me we have paid our fair share into these programs over the years. We are not looking for freebies just a hand up when we are knocked down in certain years.
          Doesn't seem too matter which side of center the party is they all want to make headlines but don't really want to help when u need them. We've given up relying on any of there promises or programs. Best way to deal with bad years is to self insure and make it on your own without there assistance.

            So Ritz is going to borrow $3 Billion for these programs? Where? From the Chinese?
            The government needs to stop borrowing money.

              I wonder how much of that 3 billion goes to
              administration costs, civil servants earning
              $114,000 per year, six weeks vacation and 18
              sick days per year.

                Burb et. El;

                I appreciate Crop insurance... it does take the hollows
                out to an extent... just like fire and auto insurance.

                Minister Ritz works like a trooper... I appreciate his
                Humour most of the time... he is trying to look at the
                more positive side of our civilization.

                For that positive attitude... he gets guff and swears.

                God Bless him and his family... it isn't easy being the
                butt of the burberts 'jokes'... when the good work is
                also ignored.

                Not easy being an MP/MLA's; Thanks to all of our
                members... if they were lazy and without character...
                they wouldn't be MP's/MLA's.

                I for one am proud to be a Canadian and what that
                stands for; with our CDN leaders on the global stage.

                And the Canadians who elected them. Merry
                Christmas!

                Cheers!
