Actually someone broke into an email account and was sending thosands upon thousands of messages under that account
The tipoff was that there have been very numerous "returned" messages which Sasktel told me just represented the messages that didn't get through from the Chinese IP address that they originated from. An IP address lookup reveals such information.
One of the bigger problems would have apparently been if Sasktel had locked that email account because of suspicious activity. That, I was told, would have involved a much more detailed fix than the simple password change required to continue to annoy people like daveyxxx.. with further oneoff posts.
