I don't mind shist disturbers at all. But trying to keep it to clean shots should be the objective.

Six hours driving one way(or much much more) in the middle of winter; on treacherous roads is insane; and asking more than is reasonable.

There are additional ways to allow people to "attend" in this day and age. And when those methods are suggested they are ignored. They should be seriously considered. They are not.

I could suggest some of the reasons why the status quo is preserved; but that would only invite personal attacks. So someone else just say why it can't be done other than getting relatively piss poor turnouts for elections and even poorer attendance at any meeting.

I would dare say that anyone who has attended past Brandon shows would agree they were amongst the best they had ever seen.

The organizers seem to have a winning formmula; of content, free admission, parking and more to see and do than your legs can stand in one day. Never heard anyone say otherwise.

But still watch those expected slippery roads (polished pavement frost) according to Dep't of Holidays warnings......

Ron Palmer's aeration message is out. Run the fans the first day to get a 1% moisture percentage drop. Then basically never run the fans uless the outside temperature is LESS THAN the grain temperature in the bin. He says bin fans are probably way way oversized by maybe a factor of ten.
Unless I missed something; these conclusions are based on observations of running fans continuosly; for way too long according to him. Just about every warm day after 9am. adds moisture to the ggrain which takes most of the cool niht aeration hours to get back out.
My personal critique of the experiental data is that a possibly overlooked major factor is the warmer daytime air injected for half a day; plus the heat from the aeration motor and heat generated by forcing thousands of cubic feet per minute into the grain That contribution and effect on moisture removal has all being ignored.
That is bound to have an effect of raising the grain temperature; and would obviously make the night time aeration seem much more effective than would be without the effect of raising the grain temperature thoughout the daytime hours.
Apparently there were no checks comparing the initial grain weight put into the bin and the grain weight finally removed from the bin. Those figures would have verified the calculation of actual moisture removed or added. My opinion is that load cells and scales under the entire bin; would have simplified just what moisture was added or subtracted; and that side by side identical bins; fans and contents would have put this argument to rest.
