    so called expert

hey guys check this story by Richard Kamchen - country guide.
he interviews so called expert tom eisenhauer, bonnefield financial,(you'll notice no capitals - no respect for these pigs) talked to this idiot prior to xmas to see what his angle was, of course he would love to buy your land, and guess what give u the opportunity to rent it back, what a nice guy! and with all that money u got for your land, well he says just go spend it on a bunch of nice new equipment. So acting like i am interested, I ask what rent is going to be etc, then what happens if commodity prices go down, poor crops, land prices and local rents down and time to renew the lease and negotiate down, he pauses and says the lease can never go down, I was floored, also I learn u as the renter and guy that sold the land do not have "right of first refusal" on the lease contract. Basically what they want, is the ability to sell their land to another group of investors in one package. I got pissed at him and had to hang up, it was what i suspected these guys are all snakes. Hoping that no one out there gets duped by these idiots and believe that their true intentions should be known to everyone.

It is sad really. The way it is going, once land is owned by a non farmer, it will never be owned by a farmer again,EVER!

This is why we desperately need an interest rate increase to send this
guy and others like him packing. News on financial post about
helicopter Ben actually considering backing off on money printing. Not
that this will happen but nice to dream. I think that in five years
though we will see large areas of abandoned land due to if the renters
don't pay $X then nobody will farm investor land. Nothing will empty
rural SK like investor owned land.

companies like his are a product of the
        times. Stats indicate farmers still
        majority of buyers.
What we will all be reminded of one day
for certain is that Mother Nature always
        holds trump!

Is it me or are most of these expert investors paying
too much for not the best dirt. Anything good tends
to stay in farmers hands. When the correction
comes where will they slither next.

I see my neighbour is selling some land that is, lets say, "land best sold in the winter time". I predict it will be bought by an investor, or someone from far away. I would pay to see the out of area guy's face who rents it this spring, when he sees what he got after the snow melts. baaaaah!

I picture it either downtown Calgary Vancouver or
Toronto. A bunch of potential investors, fund
managers etc. crammed into a meeting room at a
hotel. This guy comes up to the stage and says I
have an opportunity for you that will do 5percent
easy maybe more. People are looking for every
sliver of opportunity to appreciate their capitol. They
have no more idea about farmland than I do about
nanotechnology. They will get sucked into this
whole scheme and when poop hits the fan they will
be the low man on the ponzi pyramid. I heard a
sandpit half section here in nw sask went for over
250 a quarter. It sold to an investor in Calgary.

Ajl I don't remember who's ad it was,
but the land locations and RM didn't
                    match up. Weird.
