    Applause for a.p.a.s.

Finally someone makin some sense out there...
Norm Hall apas on a recent interview with Jim
Smalley pointed out the unfair advantage of rrsp
deductible land buying funds over farmers... They
will lobby Wall to change the current rules or allow
farmers to do the same... Maybe some hope to
save and expand family farms in this province

Farmers could do the same thing with their RRSP's... if
    they wanted...

I think an unencumbered market... is the best for
    everyone.

    Cheers

This from an email I sent APAS about ways to help farmers from 2007. Yep six ****ing years ago.

""6. Using RRSP to by land. This idea is similar to what people can do to buy a house. Borrow from their RRSP and pay it back. They are borrowing their own money. The farmers that still have some RRSP would like this because land is going to be a great investment over the next 5- 10 years.

Just some thoughts and ideas from a farmer."""

APAS people are illiterate and maybe a little slow. It took six years to get the memo.

Remeber all the bitching I do about lack of vision. Its getting old already.

Good work bucket... I hear yah, I too feel as
though I am beatin a dead horse, been makin
similar suggestions to apas, ministers office, local
mla's and fed mp's, it's govt and politics... It's very
slow though I never give up... feels good when
you hear that they finally get it!

It is good to here their thinking about it, I agree
          we're 6 to 10 to late.
I still say this is a short term thing, farmers can
win this battle by not working for them.
If my land costs are taxes and the neighbor
renting land cost is 80 to 120. Who wins? After 10
          years when they leave?
