grrr . . . Elvis was barely alive, but still enjoying those fried banana and peanut butter sandwiches.

Burbert . . . remember the days of Ward Air . . . ahhh silver cutlery, free drinks for all and a choice of 3 course meals.

that was my all-time favorite of airlines . . . kinda like the Bobby Orr of them all . . . . how far airline service has fallen

Probably the worst we flew on was Hughes Air West many moons ago. the stewardesses looked like some cheap hookers out of L.A. The garish red paint was peeling off and the plane stunk. That plane was an old DC10 that had seen better days. It was just a quick hop to Las Vegas thankfully.

The best was Ward-Air...they were always great. Haven't flown much lately so can't evaluate the current bunch.

Ward Air by far the best. Have
        recommendations for Cathy Pacific, and
Luftansa as well as British Air, but they
kin get a bit snobbish at times. WestJet
way, way, way, way, better than Air
Comedia. My advice, if only Air Comedia
available, stay the F at home, theys
        really, reallly, realllly terrible......

Air Canada is fine if you don't like to have your luggage travel with you. Domestically I prefer WestJet, AC is usualy really good on international flights. Lufthansa is good in Europe and Vietnam air is good in asia. I find star alliance better than one world airlines.

Alberta drivers in big trucks nearly run me down
every week in Regina. Just joking now, "thats
how Alberta became rat-free, they sent them all
to Saskie." hope I didnt make a pile of enemies
            with that silly joke.

Flew United Emirates out of Seattle, came home
yesterday from Dubai, free 4 course meals, free
booze, desserts, breakfast, dinner, supper and a
snack. Ask for 2 bottles of wine, no problem.
Beer, everything. But usually we cheap out and
fly Allegiant out of Minot. No food, no drink but
cheap, fast and no fuss. Even West jet lost our
bags between Regina and Vancouver. Then 1
never did make it home. Oh, yeh, then they gave
us a $50 travel voucher for each inconvenience,
only it expired in 30 days. Good grief!

                A very carbon friendly bunch.

Time to leave some footprints on a gravel road.

I've been to every corner of this continent (except
NFLD) and have pretty much driven everywhere.
Having been a motorcycle rider all my life, which gives
you a real birds eye view of everyone driving around
you, and doing touring here and there - I've come to
the conclusion that 95% of NA drivers should not be
allowed on the road. Period. The two worst
experiences I would say were the 401 outside Toronto
and driving in New Jersey where they have the highest
                  auto insurance premiums in NA.

What are motorcycle rates in New Jersey compared to what they could become in Saskatchewan?

Depends on the bike. A cruiser, for full coverage,
about double. Theft is a big thing. Crotch rockets,
about triple, if you have a clean record. Meaning over
3 grand a year. You'll find a lot of uninsured riders
there or out of state registrations. The fine is cheaper
than the insurance. For comparison, here in AB, I paid
$619 for complete coverage on a tourer. How does
                      that compare to Sask?

Albertie has by far got the worst drivers
in the West. Absolute stupidity on our
highways these days! Why, because a total
lack of enforcement and the atttitud that
prevails in Albertie, ifn wes all do it
they kin only catch a few soo what the H,
letter rip, all rules and regs are only a
                        guideline anyways, eh?

I would pay (if I had collision) for a close to double
your insurance for sport bike (actually retro but the
insurance companies don't buy that) in Alberta.
Clean driving record and experience. Not able to
insure with my regular insurer so I had to go to a
second company. Looking a touring bike as well and
my cost will come down slightly.

You soon learn you are responsible for your own life
(not the other driver) so you are extra alert on a
                          motorbike.

Air Comedia, a crown corporation when
lossing money and needing bailout. A
privately own company when makin money,
                            eh? Poor service, poor attitude,
uncomprimising ability to F things up,
                            retardee, retardee. Who cares anyway
about yer grandparents, kids, pets, er
anyone, er anything fer that matter! Fly
Air Comedia, enjoy the Comedian way that
                            our airline operates, yeah, eh..

One very annoying thing about the crowns in sask is
that their coffers are raided by the government and
surplus's are put into the general revenue pool,so
rates are not a function of need.

                              Criminal imo.

Charlie, there are two old adages among two wheel
riders. 1. It's not a matter of if you ever have a
wreck, it's when. 2. When you're riding on a bike,
you're not just driving for yourself, but for everyone
around you as well. If you're looking at a long
distance tourer, I'd recommend a Vulcan Voyager
ABS. Reasonable price, Cadillac ride, great wind and
rain protection, all the creature comforts and
outstanding performance and reliability. I nearly
bought a Harley dresser, but it was way more top
heavy and hard to move around at parking lot
speeds. And 9 grand more. As for insurance, I used
to be with Jevco, but my broker (a rider himself)
suggested I switch to Echelon, save $150 and get
better coverage. Ride safe and keep the shiny side
                                up!
