Snow, land rents and water ??

I wounded how many ac that were rented at $90-
100/ac plus were on seeded ac instead of tillable
or full ac. As time ticks by and spring gets
compressed we may well have a spring like
eastern sask had the past few years.

It's not the snow that killed us, it was
the incessant ran. It is only March the
12th. Lots of time??? I see the normal
high for North Battleford is 0, while
here it is still minus 2.

Lots of time yet, and IMO, it is more
about the rain than the snow. Some guys
seem to think the snow should be melting
away in early march. lol Does it
typically? Or is my growing season here
      THAT pathetic? lol Cuz well.

        furrow

Get used to watching tow ropes gradually fray and finally snap.

Wasn't laughing when it happened, but I still think of the look of the guy helping me last year when offered to buy a replacement tow rope for the new one he just snapped.

I didn't make him pay since he nearly coughed out a lung when he saw the price tag.

Freewheat is right, its the 20 inches of rain durring may, the snow is nothing. Aren't you close enough to the North Saskatchewan to keep that water running?

Even by saskatoon its surprising how much snow has already melted.

I agree on the rain, seen that first hand as well, but my point seems to have been a little lost. For the first time in many years this area will have run-off and standing water. And yes if it rains 35" , as some places here had last year things may be interesting.
Like i stated in the first post, just woundering how some of those land rents were set up? Some landlords here demand full payment on full ac and will not take seeded ac. Mostly east of here down hwy 40 and 16.

Snow is not a issue the real problem will be if we get a wet april or may or june or july!
Loosing 2000 acres to 3000 due to mud sucks.

Does anyone remember how dry we were last fall?
This snow is not an issue. And we could handle a lot
of spring rain if it came at the right time. With how
dry it was around SE Sask we could be in a dust
storm by the last week of April. We had 40 inches of
rain in 2010 in the growing season and netted a lot
better than my last memory of 2 inches inthe
                  growing season.
Dear God, please schedule rain as follows:
                  2.5 inches last week April
                  .75 inch may 10
                  .75 inch may 20
                  .75 inch may 30
                  1.5 June 10
                  1 June20
                  1.5. June 30
                  2 July 10
                  2 July 20
                  1.5July30
                  1.5 Aug 10
                  1 Aug 20
                  1 Aug.30
                  .75 Sept 10
                  Thanks in advance.
Oh and warm enough to mature all crops but not
humid enough to rot the canola.

East Central its dry top 6 inch then mud so snow will fill the gap. We don't need any rain till after the may long or first of june.
Sick of playing in mud. Own way to many tow ropes chains Cats etc.
Give me a nice normal year. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Daylate: Remember, we are not all the
southeast. It sure was not dry here in the
fall. Dryer than saturated, but not
                      much...

Are youall paying rent on deeded acres? Mabey I can see why yous is pissey about rent. I have never heard of such, here we pay on seeded acres for croping
How would you decide just how much per seeded acre in a less than perfect field?
How much per acre for say 160 acre 1/4 of no 1 land?

Echo just sent out flood alert. Possible only inch
or two lower than 2011. Could be hairey again.
