Nominate the best and worst for warranty

Bought a new 25' Cougar holiday trailer produced
by Keystone. Trailer has lots of problems with
door hinges and cheaply built plastic parts.
Trailer was purchased in the spring and in fall we
took it in for the list of repairs. Several things they
thought we should pay for because of "damage
    due to cold"

Bought a new Artic Cat 700 quad Artic Cat has
no head office service contact with customers. No
one in service answers the phone and no one
    returns messages.

    High Line Manufacturing
These people are awesome! Bought a new bale
shredder and most hoses leaked and one lift
cylinder Crome was flaking off. All replaced no
    charge!

Ordered from Amazon, paying duty. After
delivery, Amazon emailed that duty was less than
calculation, and that a credit would appear on my
next credit card statement. Timely delivery. Can
trace delivery status. Easy site. Returns
      accomodated. Heads up company Pars

Kubota 95 hp front wheel assist loader tractor, 2 years old, loader broke with a 700 lb. load. Never welded properly at the factory....no penetration. Company wouldn't honor warranty said warranty was only on the tractor. factory Kubota loader bought with the tractor. Dealer paid half out of his own pocket....I paid the other half. Will never buy anything from Kubota again

In each of your stories...... The good service and products were CANADIAN, not the Kuboto tractor, not the American built travel, and I don't think the Arctic Cat is Canadian, but the Canadian dealers stood behind them.

The best warranty is when you buy something and
            never, ever require the warranty.

Had some seals go on a 4 year old SeedMaster on the shanks. All cylinders had been replaced 2 years before. When I couldnt get seal kits on a FRiday evening I called the sevice rep in Regina, he told me to go to my dealer, get new cylinders and what ever else I needed and send him the bill. Nice to see a company that is as concerned about me getting the crop in as I am.

I think you have a good point Dogpatch. Buying
more Canadian made products may be the way to
                  go.

Artic Cat is American, warranty service support
might as well be from China.

I also have heard good things about Degelman.

Westfield 13 X 60 auger. Purchased brand new. The side auger and hopper move back and forth . Pretty obvious there is a misaligned or bent shaft coming off the gearbox.
Local dealer took it to the "Service" depot, it sat for 2 months. I would call them every 10 days, they were "too busy" then harvest came about. Ultimately the local dealership owner pulled it back to my farm never looked at by Westfield. After harvest the one year warranty had expired. So far, it works well enough but I really despise anything Westfield. Never again. Even their design for cleanout and side auger lift are poor vs. competitors.

I buy so much used stuff I seldom qualify for warrantees.

New Kilo Bilt disk, missing the hairpins to hold the wing depth cylinders on machine.Pins worked themselves out, cylinders moved, tore some hydraulic hoses and fittings. Had the hoses made at local repair shop, they sent me the other parts, and paid the invoice from local shop. The purchase advice and warranty was all extremely positive experience.

Best for us has always been Bourgault. Since
the 70s, we have bought numerous pieces of
equipment, and every and any time a peice
needed warranty work, it was always done...and
                      pronto.

                        Good to hear Hobbyfrmr!

I just bought a new Kello bilt disc also. Haven't
used it yet but my neighbors new one the nut on
the end of the gang shaft kept coming loose on
theirs and it wrecked the shaft. All replaced on
                        warranty.

Must be something to this buy Canadian thing.
