    whats the situation over there saying on
    our news here most of uk will be lucky to
    thaw by end of april seems it dwarfs
    problems in usa canada?

    showed pics of 6 metre snow drifts

    thanks for your concern mallee.
    its a disaster area on west side of britain, and not much better on the east.
    the snow is all gone here, but it is bitterly cold, no growth and no sowing going on.deep snow 5 miles away, 300ft up.
    thousands of sheep dead.feed /hay running out
    worst part is no change forecast for over 2 weeks.
    if that is correct, it is armageddon.
    this week last year was 22 deg c

      C'mon though hedgehog - full disclosure.
      Average mean March temperature in Scotland is
      about 6C. Having 22C in March is an almost
      unheard of heatwave.
      Tough for the hill/upland livestock sector I'm
      sure after the last 18 months of crap weather.

        yes, 22c was a heatwave, but this is a coldwave.
        we have had snow most days now for 3 weeks, no spring drilling done, daily temp about 1 to 2c no growth at all.
        worst thing is forecast to remain till mid april.
        feels like canada.
