    Rye

Anyone have any insight into the rye market?
Price going up or down before next crop? Pars

I have a couple of good bottles in my liquor cabinet. They will be going down before the next crop is even planted. And maybe a few more if this weather doesn't break anytime soon. But as far as price, ask me if it will go up once the bottles go down. I may have more insight.

Ok, SmartSally, lol, I'll be more specific. What
will the price of rye, (the crop), be, by August
      1st, 2013? Pars

judgement on that pricing question will
of course be swayed by how much rye one
has drunk before attempting a logical
        guess.

usda it seems work on same rye drinking
tactic before reports are written and
        released

          Scoundrels!
Should a guy with a carload of rye sell it now or
wait until July? Any sober opinions? Lol

Advertise it. Kijiji, western producer etc. let the
niche market manufactures know where to
source. Barter with them, make sure they know
its cheaper than corn and higher quality. Kevin
Oleary would want a royalty, don't go there.

What was the cost of production for the rye?
What is the buyers price bid for the rye?
Is there profit in this transaction?
If there is profit in the bid, has the seller done a
credit check on the buyer so he can buy accounts
                receivable insurance on this transaction?

If yes to the last 3 questions then sell the rye.

If you think you don't NEED the money, then sit
and speculate. The price may go down, or the
price may go up, one guarantee for sure is time
will pass until the next "chance" to sell rye.

How do people find fall rye yields vs Winter
                  wheat?

                  (Never seeded fall rye myself)

The wheat board would sell 10 percent every two weeks. But the 10 cars would eat up the price of the rye. Moral of the story don't ask the CWB. Ok that one is old. :-) I think.
