We just got hit,i;m guessing over half inch of
moisture, hard to tell, lots of rain and a blanket of
snow and still a little dark out.

Sure looks bad on bethunes radar loop around regina.

fjlip...where are the piles of snow in the yard or was the winter's snow almost melted? Where I pushed the snow , I still have 6' - 8' high piles the length of super B's in the middle and outsides of my yard NE of Regina. We were lucky and only got about 3" this round.

Choice 2 U. I farm not too far from FJ, probably about 30 miles Southeast
of him, and it is the same here, as it is down in Regina. I can not get to
my fuel tanks yet, not even close; my drill is beyond a 6 foot pile, the
tree-lines have 8 foot drifts in them still. My inlaws from Regina were
amazed at the snow we had here, when Regina broke all its records. Yet
they were shocked at our snow we have. While they were here the water
started running, and going over roads here and there. At that point, about
half of the field snow was gone. Normally here, water collects and runs
the first week of april. A month later now, and we are still only halfway
to that point, as the last three days of minus high temperatures have
        slowed the melt.

Good news is it looks good for temps this weekend, but it will be a good
while before the fields are fit.

Sorry, do not mean to answer for FJ, but he would probably agree.

The tall spruce on E and W sides keep the drifts out of our yard. Also drifts in the trees melt faster from heat of the sun. We use snow blowers so less piles. Had 4' near bins but melted by half. Yard open to S warms quicker. The dust from road means snow melted quicker far into the fields and yard. Before this 6" were mostly melted, lots of water showing up. Today the water in yard has soaked up? Slow motion melt. The strongest wind direction all winter was different, straight N, less in fence lines for that reason.

Wish you guys the best. Think I won't get going until the 20th if we can get up to average. There was way less snow between Balgonie and Regina ie. White City/Pilot Butte. Lots more north of Balgonie. More snow south of Regina as well as the fields were still white before this last round of snow. I have a small blower so only could throw it on piles and have a friend come in to push the bigger part of the yard with a bucket.
