The closest Blairs here is Lanigan but they do not typically come up this far to deliver so scared to try them. Price is right.
Horizon is big here, Viterra is small beans. I know a few growers that switched to Viterra from Horizon so will see how they actually make out. The Viterra has not been all rosy either but they use a different trucking company to supply them. Makes all the difference. Horizon has a lot of drivers so they will deliver any time of day and night as long as they have product. Viterra shuts down early so I heard so no going later into the night. Since starting into using anhydrous I like the delivery drivers and enjoy the little chat that we get at times, the drivers are great hard working and excellent drivers just really good people to get to know.

We are getting some product (granular, superU) from Blair's... and getting starter from Brad at the CoOp....

Blairs seem to provide excellent service, just like the CoOp.... I was down there yesterday to pick up a load of fert... they're organized, had an extra truck sitting there for NH3... sure are having their share of breakdowns this year though, seeder, sprayer, and spreader are broke down... guess it's not just us farmers.

I was going to go NH3 but was worried about the short supply, so doing superU instead - Blair's is broadcasting some of it for us so we can keep seeding... wish we were better organized. Kinda behind the ball again this year $)*%$)#@!!!

      Good luck seeding, boys!

Klause, you say you are behind the ball,
compared to who? The race is with yourself.
Don't wake up in the morning thinking you are 2
days behind, that will screw you up all day, you
will be stressed and cranky all the time. Nobody
will want to be around you when your farming.
I understand you would prefer to be more
organized, best thing now is to make notes on
your phone, improvements for next season.

We quit that stuff in the 90's. Fall applied dry blends = no stress, faster spring seeding.
Price is better 90% of the time, plus tilled soil is perfect after wet winters.

i dont subscribe to the idea that loading urea
150 tons worth and moving a second truck to
every field is going to save time. that alone is 2
days worth of work that i am saving by using
anhydrous since i the drill operator has to do it i
have to load my seed truck myself already so
dont want to look at loading another urea truck.
will be looking at blairs or vittera for nexr year if
this keeps up. they actually have a different
company delivering juice to them so i think the
problem is solvable couple extra storage tanks
                    would help

We are waiting as well. I was told it
might be a day or two until we are able
to get product. Apparently there was a
wreck yesterday with a truck delivering
to a bullet, which I imagine has slowed
everyone down due to increased scrutiny
                        from dot's etc...

I am seeding anyways and will put on
liquid or urea with agrotrain on after.
This is the worst possible time to be
waiting for nh3 with the coming rain.

I switched to dry last year from NH3, best move I have ever made! Fert is in the bins and can get it when I need it. It takes a bit of getting used to and a bit more work but 1000 times less stress then wondering if the truck is actually coming....being told it is coming but doesn't show up.....being told the tank will be filled at 6 a.m. but doesn't happen until noon! Screw that noise!!!
