    Monsanto

I realise that most of you grain farmers are simply trying to profit and survive, and believe that profit is the only real purpose behind Monsanto as well.

I don't think there is a diabolical plan to kill off human beings.

Just want to plug the march tomorrow against Monsanto.

    ONE SAINT...

I think they truly believe they are helping mankind.

As always, humans tend toward extremes until the scale tips. Just hope that the
extreme route that Monsanto has taken tips.

Try to think of the humans that you are feeding as you spray the hell out of your crops and land this year boys. There will be better ways in the future and I truly wish you all the best.

You all have the ability to educate yourselves on the effects of GMO's and their glyphosate cousins in the chemical world.... Or not.

ya we are highly educated so if someone thinks
there is a better way were all open here come
show us how to farm . i think an
enviromentalist teaching us how to farm would
be scairy we are doing the best that can be done
at the least were responsible hope no one is
spraying inthis wind just remember the
anhydrous guys have their drills parked.
accident at cudworth now so keep a calm mind
and work safe not sure when to get going again

If I gave you one kernel of wheat grown organically, and one kernel grown commercially, and you could tell me which one was which, without being told, I would drink a 10L of roundup myself.

So 50% of the time your're going to be drinking 10 liters of roundup.

Doesn't sound like a very good wager for yourself.

There's got to be a better way to logically add to the debate.

And neither is it enlightening to claim to just trust that in the future we'll necessarily have better ways to feed 9 billion, or 18 billion or a 6 foot depth of carcasses covering the entire world.s

Last fall, that was easy around here. The
conventional sample was fusarium riddled light
weight shitty sample. He negotiated a #3 sold it
for edible. The organic sample was 60lbs per
bushel "looked" ok and sold as organic feed
            wheat for chickens.
My point is, i am pretty sure there is a
            correlation between glyphosate use and
fusarium. Of course not totally proven with
            science.
Its fascinating how many people claim they want
to drink glyphosate. I would pay to see that.

              Thank f#cking god for Glyphosate.
Without it, the skies around here would
have been black with blowing topsoil the
              last couple days.

The LD50 for glyphosate is considerably higher than table salt.

I think some of you guys have the tinfoil on a bit too tight, take off a layer.

Hobbyfarmer, fusarium is a seed born disease. I can't help but wonder if there is , allegedly, less fuzz in organic because there is significantly less movement of organic seed compared to conventional which gets shipped all over the prairies.

Good points cole ville slapshot and ado. I still
would pay to see someone drink it. That would be
                    pretty cool.

Is it necessary to say that herbicides and insecticides are not meant to betreated casually or with lack of respect? Read the labels which clearly warn about their non-intended uses and restrictions.

They are poisons; which have been chosen for use on selected plants and insects.

Daring a human being to drink these poisons; or challenging anyone to consume these herbicide and insecticides; is the height of ignorannce.

In fact; perhaps such persons should be denied possession of these important tools which are an considered an acceptable and arguably necessary tool to produce the food which the world currently needs.

Accidental poisonings have already provided more than enough data.

Talk about being dragged down to having to state the obvious.

So now thereis a claim that fusarium would go away if only non contaminated seed were used.

I would be more than suprised if that would have much effect in the future; or if it was the only cause of its widespread expansion inthe last decade.

Equally as unfounded is the insinnuation that glyphosate is tied directly through some unproven mechanism.

But both theories tie in nicely to promote organic production; which is promoted with its own set of unproven benefits.

Oh wait; can we all rely on that dubious "soil analysis" of GMO corn from a couple months ago.. Any need to repost that dispicable data that should have been roundly denounced by everyone; including every organic proponent.

I wonder why there is little to no research being done in farming without chemicals?Could it be that there is no money in feeding the hungry only in getting all of you to grow it?
