    A few things to ponder...
    1. Our average age keeps going up so what is the problem with our food?
    2. Child obesity is a huge problem and it's not from gmo's and chemicals. It's from eating chips and drinking pop with no vegetables and fruits.
    3. We are fixated on the future of CO2 induced global warming while pollution kills people right now.
    4. Every generation continues to get larger and stronger so what is the problem with our food?

Finally, you organic guys with eventually appreciate us when the day comes that the Islamist extremists rule the world but we are able to get them back with our toxic food because they will have their women make supper with gmo's.

Our average age keeps going up, because we are losing less young children. I could be wrong, however as a kid, I certainly don't recall losing this many people to cancers, I had some pretty old great grandparents back in the 50'S.
As for science, many great things have been discovered, however I still believe in instinct...gut reaction....some things are just wrong. Science has screwed up in the past and will do so in the future.
As I have said before, our Creator gave us a great food supply; however we continue to find ways to screw it up.

Lets raise the bar a little above instinct. You were given some higher intelligence too. Put that to work when interacting with other humans.

Makes for a better two way conversation.
Comparing instincts makes for a very poor learning experience.

"Our average age keeps going up, because we are losing less young children"

          That makes no sense

Additional children could only lower average age.
perhaps you meant if there were fewer additional children then average age should go up.

First produce some valid stats for the particular population you are referring to. It may very well depend on if you are referring to rural Western Canada; the world as a whole or even specific cities.

If you don't use it, you will lose it...instinct based decisions have been in use much longer than science based decisions. Science is not the answer to everything....just ask a "Believer"....
and please remember much of science today is profit motivated, not "humanity" motivated.

So maybe we just put it in the hands of "God" in whom we put our faith and beliefs. But as an example, the Islam "God" doesn't meet with Christian beliefs... so just where are we headed.

Well each to his own and you to your own…. However we can and do get carried away on both ends of the spectrum. Had to laugh at Ritz today...science says ractomine is OK...but many beef/hog importers don't want it...so we continue to try and change their minds instead of supplying what they want and lose market share. Sourds sensible, hey???
