    Wanted to get the word out to those close enough to attend about our 7th annual farm tour at Lacombe Alberta. An opportunity to share some ideas and maybe pick up something of value for your farm. Tour is Wednesday June 26 1 P.M.and starts about 4 miles east of Lacombe on hwy 12. This year we are covering. Using vacuum planters to seed canola( 2nd year trials) Controlled Traffic farming( year 3) Winter wheat in the parkland, Tile plows and tile drainage and telematics( data transfer from tractor to office) Everyone welcome

        Awesome, so where do we look for info on canola
        vaccum planters. Was at agritechnica 2 years back
        and horsch was claiming that you could seed down
        to 2.5 lbs with no yield drag, but have no clue where
        that was done, and what are yield benefits? Canola
        is such a weed I can't see it being so important to
        yield like corn spacing.

          We will be talking about our experiences, the pluses and minuses. For the most part the planter industry is still in the early stages of working with canola.The research planter is there to hopefully answer some of the questions you ask.
