    gmo questions - CharlieP

Because canola oil is processed so
intensely it contains no gm material?
    The protein structure is identical
between gm and non gm canola oil?

I was reading the link below, and
decided to do a bit more research and
    came across the statement: "The
insertion of genes in the genome through
    genetic engineering interrupts the cod
ing sequence of the DNA, creating trun
cated, rogue proteins, which can cause
    unintended effects. It’s an invasive
    technology.

    Biotech companies ignore these rogue
proteins; they say they are background
noise. But we should pay attention to
them. It must be verified that they pro
    duce no negative effects."

I am curious how you will be able to
defend the purity of gm canola oil as
compared to non gm canola oil after
    reading the information above.

When you crush seeds, the protein stays in the meal. Oil has no
    protein. PERIOD.

You can pretty much stop reading if a
                'scientist' says superweed in any
                interview.

Oh and look, he just happens to be an
organic farmer. What are the odds of
                that? Ummmm 1.
