    Farm Progress Show...

So who attended to find out what they
bought last year has been updated and
yours will be outdated. Ah yes, the
technology treadmill, one day I will step
    off.

I feel got whipped off a couple years ago what the hell?????????? But spending 200 grand on a new seedmaster tank base price without the bells and whistles and another 200 on the drill to go with I figure can wait it out. Lord love a duck the shit out there.

My little farm has fallen through the cracks of
efficiency! Still farming with a Bourgault 8800 air
        seeder from the early '90's.
As I watch perfectly placed N fertilizer leaching
away from roots, crops drowning, and yesterday
        morning herbicide applications washed off,
somehow, I am not feeling troubled that I missed
the progress show. Maybe I should be looking to
attend some kind of "regress" show!

Some of the best looking canola in our area again was seeded with ole 8800, 8810 and 8910 bourgaults. Hobby, I agree....

How easily, all the best made efforts can
be laid waste by Mother Nature. She still
            trumps all the technical advances....

                  She is still Queen.

Jesus, don't piss her off with the wrong gender!

Let us not forget guys, todays seeding
equipment is with one thing in mind. One pass
and keep the moisture were it is, yes they are
more designed for the dry years. With the mud
hole we have had here the last few years, i will
admit some of the old style drills, and more so
the ancient air seeders have been blowing the
half million dollar seeders out of the water with
much better catches this year in the saturated
soils. That will change some year I hope!!
