Pars if that is to me I think your correct. there are other more important things the RCMP should be doing. The residents should be escorted home.

No, hopper, I was referring to having an Ezra
slamming. Wouldn't matter which press release
or opinion piece, the real issue is police break
      and enter.

Who'd stand for being locked out of their own
house? So many items can be saved if they are
lifted out of the water to an upper level
Timely. No one if more interested in your
property and your family than you are.and you
are right hopper, property owner should have
been either talken home ....or have had access.

Interesting picture in the w. producer of
high river via aerial. Seems the town is
        built in a puddle.

That is why its taking so long to get things in order for re-population. to return these people prematurely would have caused even more problems.

BUUUUTTTT...onlookers jump to the wrong conclusions and bleat about people's rights and such rot when they know little about the situation at hand.

Re population? Sounds like when the Chinese business owners moving into a poor part of china to reap rewards women wealth. Re population is not the correct word.

Everyone should go home. They have access to good food and water. And the gov't is helping them with cash flow. I am with parsley the homeowners can salvage to the best of their abilities if they can return home. No one is going to shoot anyone or loot. Now the homeowners will not get their guns back for at least a few months. When you need a police officer they won't be availlable. Go figure. Pretty sure though that our local detatchment would not have done the same thing.

The flooding issues that taxpayers are going to
be paying for for a long , long time are due to
people building below the flood line. We have
had numerous floods at lakes and cities, but still
people are issued building permits to build below
the past flood levels. Then when it floods, they
are bawling. I know that's the case at our lake.

I know lots of people whe are high and dry.

Many cities around the world are built in a flood plain. That is where the water is. People need water. Then along comes a flood, and most of the city is under water. The more development there is, the worse it gets. Pavement and concrete don't absorb much water. Drainage makes the problem worse. Marshlands and wetlands used to slow the water down, but not anymore. Along comes a storm that is bigger than usual and BAM!! We have what we have now.

Exshaw, 3 mountain runoff creeks go thru
that town. Sure is pretty, every lot is a
                          creek lot.

No worries, the government will save us
                          if it floods.

All these people screaming about confiscation of firearms...what a bunch of hooey. Now that people are allowed into more sections of High River the RCMP are RETURNING the weapons that they wisely stored for the people who had to leave their flooded homes.

NEVERTHELESS these alarmists will still say that it was a conspiracy...when will they see the error of their ways?...and say that they were wrong?

                              Right!!!...they won't.
