Is Sun News feeling a little sheepish

Well, just watched a news clip, on Sun News,
and they interviewed a person, who went and
got his gun, and he admitted himself that his
gun was not in stored in a good place, and he
had no problem with what happened. Only
this news channel made the biggest issue of
this, and now hey are trying to say that the
RCMP is returning guns illegally now. Sorry but
I am not going to sit here and argue, I have
better things to do, but a friend of mine is
right. Besides Sun News, those that ranted
and raved about this the most, one word sums
it up. RADICAL. How do rate yourself?

    Dear Agchat,

I'm definitely radical. I'm one of those old
fashioned persons who doesn't like anyone
breaking into my house when I'm not there

    I'm definitely a radical. I don't like pics searching
through my possessions withou a search warrant,
even though the contents are typically mundane.

And I am a radical because I recognize when the
agchats of the world attempt to marginalize
those who disagree with him, so I'll point it out to
him that that tactic is passé. Phewwwww.

Yup. Now I think I'll wallow in my radicalization.

There are a lot of things in this world that are far, far worse than "radicals" for property rights. Personally I think we could use a lot more of them.

As far as Sunnews goes, I'm glad that at least one news outfit is finally reporting on these kinds of things. I don't care what the circumstances are mounties breaking into peoples homes and taking things is something that should be news and it should be reported. It is a big deal. The real question is not why did sun cover the story, its why other news outfits swept it under the rug.

        Miss Parsley,

I am too a radical. WAY out there,
whatever you want to call me. lol

BTW, dear Parsley, my wife is quite
taken with her wonderful plants from
you. She calls them, her "Parsley
        plants".

I will point out a plant in her flower
beds, and she says, "oh, that is a
        Parsley plant!"

Glad to hear the plants are as hardy as am I.
You will find that all perennials are a true
indicator of each season's maturity progress, so
speak softly to, and with, them. Pars

Just because the liberals dreamed up a ridiculous law that makes criminals out of ordinary people, does not mean it is right or proper to break, enter, and confiscate.

It is also not right that the conservatives, in a chicken crap way, only went after the low hanging fruit of the long gun registry. If you own a gun, but do not keep up your license, the powers of the state are extremely punishing. Why they don't repeal the whole c68 is asinine.

Most people don't want the government telling them how to act, most people grew up and started thinking for themselves and taking personal responsibility and acquiring common sense, right from wrong.

            Some people didn't.

Nothing gets me fired up in the morning like the smell of tyranny and those who enjoy it.

                And bacon and eggs.

Good thing the attempted bombing in Vic is taking the spotlight off of the RCMP's scurrilous actions in High River.

Now they have a "real" issue to emote public love...

Sun news is not Journalism , it like Fox news and John Gormley it is simply rumour, gossip and lies, entertaining BUT not NEWS.
Does more harm than good spreading Misinformation. Unfortunately many of the American problems can be traced back to lies on foxy. Hopefully we are Smarter here.

Should leave alone but I wonder 10 years from now what the defining moment and memories of this tragedy will be? The removal of guns from some homes? The devastation it caused families in the impacted communities? The way people responded in helping their neighbors? The way people responded in rebuilding their lives after what is likely almost the ultimate human tragedy - loosing a home? There will have been mistakes made but ultimately, 95 % plus will have been good decisions in world of no perfect answers. The 5 % or whatever will be things that can be learned from.

charliep, you made a very reasonable comment.

I'm sure that the scope of the tragedy will always overshadow what were some bad decisions made by a few in the pressure of the moment.

Not sure how one would trust again when we see how easily things that we take for granted - life, liberty and the enjoyment of one's property - can be taken away so suddenly.

Oops, except now that the RCMP has raised the stakes in the game they started.

                            A pox upon their houses.

Well its illegal for children to sell lemonade in some
                              parts of north america.

It will probably take something you lose personally to
change your bias on what powers the state should
                              have.
