Just about every field has canola from 2011 blooming early. How much of that will shatter? Agree there are poor uneven crops, but majority is fine. Cereals are super and after this inch plus of rain and forecast heat, look out, growing a lot of straw.

JD Green, I did not mean to come off as negative at all. I apologize, as
looking back at my post, though I put an lol, and a winking emoticon, I can
see where you may think I was being too negative.

What my point is more, and in my heart, I really hope this area gets a kick
at the can for once. I can not imagine having had even average crops these
last few years of good prices. My farm would be a different farm!

        No harm meant.

And Fjlip, the cereals are indeed a rocking in this area. And yes, there are
a lot of fields with two year old volunteer issues, some fields are thick. I
tried Cleanstart on mine this year, and yes it worked half decent, but it
sure is not terribly effective. The best thing would be rotating the genes of
the canola to avoid some of these truly embarrassing looking problems. Some
fields are bad enough it has got to have affected yield potential.

            1/3 rule here again...
1/3 excelent , 1/3 ave and 1/3 shit. Depends on farm and area rains. For the most part excellent crops were seeded on time and the shit was seeded way too late other than where excessive rains fell..
