    Rain!

    It's raining, it's pouring,
    The old men are snoring.

A welcome rain. Had a cabbage plant die from
drought. Neglect on my part; should have
watered sooner and more. Really dry. Pars

Over an inch since noon, an inch and a half since 8AM, and the radar looks like it might wrap around and hit us with the same cloud again! Won't be going with sprayer till who knows when. Hello disease, goodbye crop!

Just noticed Proline ad below. Well, ordered ours in February and haven't seen it yet. None to be had anywhere. Bayer should spend a little less on advertising and a little more on actually producing the stuff. End of rant.

farming, I have not quite figured that out yet. You ordered in February, so why did you not get it?
Who does actually get the product in order to make it short? when do they order it? 24 months ahead. Dont you think someone is bullshitting you somewhere along the line?

One inch all day, just about perfect.
This small area N of Wadena only had 4" before today, so was a touch dry on top.
Local COOP got no fungicides at all.

Didnt we just hear yesterday that Environment
Canada just changed its long term weather
forecast to dry and hot for the rest of the
summer. That's ahy we got 2.1 inches of rain and
                  the thermometer shows 15 degrees.

Ya thinkin the same thing seabass?? It's perfect, we are out of out of flood zone, no wait it's way too much, god dam it we missed the last rain we are screwed !! All in the last 35 days lol.
S/F , I thought I was dramatic at times lmao, keep postin - it is entertaining.
In this area it still remains the ole 1/3 rule , 1/3 of the crop is exellent, 1/3 ave and 1/3 will be absolute garbarge - depends on rain fall areas and farm to farm - as always.
Some crops side by side are excellent or garbage regardless of weather .......

Every time we have a rain event, one of the radars goes down, WTF aren't they water proof? Some cheap crap.
Don't need them on sunny days!

2 inches east of Saskatoon. Not predicted. Not
                          needed.

Furrow and seabass what I ment is we have a
great crop coming finally after five years of mud,
we're back to normal precipitation. But we all
know a inch a week till August makes it perfect.
So yes yesterday I was pissed when a rain event
happens and we get 4 tents and all around us
gets a inch. Oh we'll it's like a good dew!

                              SF3, after 100" in 3 years I wouldn't
mind a touch drier. Get some oxygen back
in the soil, nutrient cycling, maybe
even get some roots down past 8" and
recover some of those leached nutrients.
I'll give up a couple bushels if it
means better soil health moving forward.
