    Fungicide shortage

I really don't know where the product disappears to when your February order can't be delivered. Proline is used on many crops. Supplies are often sent to where they will be needed first. Walkup business took off with ours? I'm sure the rep that took our order is just as miffed as we are. He might want to try promoting another brand next year.

I don't get it either. With the
advertising budget these guys had pushing
the product, you think they would have
manufactured enough to meet demand. The
local retailer sold out a week before any
    spraying even stated here.

How else can they justify the cost of
the product, make Growers compete among
      themselves for an intended limited
      supply.

I've warned of this on June 25. I was
able to secure what I needed up to
now(days before I needed it, but...) and
will get the rest for some other crops
this week, if it is still available.

Farming101, someone owes you a valid
explanation. Don't give up, they should
      find it in the "system".

Oh yea guys, don't forget to go out and
apply again in 7-10 days if conditions
persist, like we're made of #@(&ing
      money.

Time to take off the tinfoil hat?

Ultimately Mother Nature decides if we
have a good quality crop or have lots of
feed quality bushels because we've text
book farmed, gave it all it needed, and
Mother Nature plays the last card. Do
your best but don't expect to control
      the rest.

This sounds like very poor business if you ordered
Proline in February and they will not deliver your
        product in July.

The retailer or chem rep should be embarrassed
since they likely sold it to someone else or didn't
order enough product to their location.

Why are they wasting all the $ on Proline
        advertising??

I was told there would be a shortage in Dec and thought ... blah blah , but regardless ordered it and paid for what we thought we might use and picked it up asap - only because of what I seen the last two years. Aparently there was production problems or whatever. Glad it's on now.. Rain tonight with a warm forecast will mean trouble if not covered either before today or within the next 3-4 days after the wet June - here anyways.

            This just in......
            Europe is full of proline!!!
it is worth twice as much their. So they are over
stocked just in case because they make more on 1
box over there than they do on over 10 here!
They get more margin in south america too, i
suspect they're holding some there too.

When we sign a marketing agreement we
sign a guaranteed delivery date. Why don't
we demand the same from our suppliers when
              we agree to purchase supplies?

Got another 2 inches of rain last nite.
Finished spraying my canola for the second
time on Friday. Some crops are so ugly I
felt like adding some 24D to my liberty
and roundup-God I`d like to see what dust
looks like. Anyways I have excess supply
of proline and prosaro for approximately
1500 acres each. Wish I could use it but
no sense in beating a dead horse. Willing
to part with these chemicals. Any takers.
