And just what part of the rest of the world does Nigeria feed.

Organic "anything" is a misnomer. It grows in the same air; uses photosynthesis to make complex sugars and through biochemical pathways creates similar compounds as any other living pant or animal. It sucks in every pollutant, as anything else does, the only difference being concentration. And we are to believe that even a trace of a trace is fatal. C'on.
The logic is missing. I fact it was never present.
And thanks for the marginalizing comment pars. Nothing like calling the kettle/pot black. The unsubstantiated bull shit from certain corners (as posted on this forum) is far more negative than anything I'll ever come up with.

You continue to ask who will feed the world. I
feel no obligation to feed the world.
Period. Niger is perfect capable of feeding itself.
So is Venezuela. So Is Pakistan. So is Vietnam.
Who will supply the food banks? There are miles
of ditches where people can sow gardens. And
flowers. They dont need their hands filled for
      them.

The problem we have is people are spoiled and
      demanding.

You don't have to buy organics. Nor worry about
the 4 % who buy organics. Nor worry about a
few thousand farmers who grow organically.

Do what you do best. And be happy with it. I am.

If we ust be blunt about it

Paranoia about ill effects of foods produced and processed by ethods that don't eet your approval; and spreading what amounts to propaganda to the masses of people who do not weigh all sides of a debate may serve certain setors very well.

But it remains only suspicion, blind faith and personal opinion until there can be proof provided that something is known about what is being talked about.

As for callous concern about world food trade; you do have a point of view not often stated so bluntly. When and if organic production becomes a significant source of even developed counries needs.....I'll try to remeber to ask if you still have the same opinion about supplying additional demand fro nations you now say should look after themselves.

Canada has 90 days to grow a crop. Callous?
No, realistic. Many countries can grow two crops
in a year. No winter. Sunshine. They CAN grow
crops. So, do it. That is realism.

The "masses" of people who buy organics are
neither illiterate or stupid. They are among the
best educated and financially sound. Most are
university educated; in don't tell them, oneoff,
they tell me. As it should be Pars.

There is a great differnce between being "illiterate and stupid" versus coming to firmly held beliefs without the benefit of using reason and an understanding of the facts.
In other words; your choice of the words "illiterate and stupid" are not necessarily the key factors in coming toreasonable and factual conclusions.

Do you always listen to a person; or just when they are putting money in the palm of ypour hand?

I'm usually willing to present a bit of the other side just so there is a bit of doubt presented keep a lttle balance in an argument.
