Well we got to 25% done and it just hit! Most are between 40 to 25% done in our area! Slow piss mist that soaks in! Wheat kernel is soft and canola just moving higher!
Farming yea where Mother Nature can do more damage in one day than all the shot luck in the world!
    Beer time!

Farming is the stupidest profession in the world. The same ingredient that's needed to make a decent crop in the first place is the one that can **** it up.

Good luck getting it done guys. On the bright side it's not Oct 15.

We got 1 inch of rain so far..

Made good progress the last few days, at 72% done..

Wheat was #1, then a poor #2..and after this dump probably a #3 or FD...

Between Tisdale and Melfort there was only 1 field combined..What a mess of water, and lodged crops..

Last week my advice to second son in SIAST, get a career that does NOT depend on anything AG or affected by weather. Try hard at least.
If I knew then what I know now............

1.25 inch here, have not started yet. Plant late, harvest late. Hopefully the old combine stays together when it's time to roll. I hope I break even this year, I could use the money. (Joke) .
