I noticed by all the people flocking to manitoba. Funny how saskatchewans fortunes and attitude changed when they kicked Roy and the boys to the curb. NDP will eventually suck the life out of anything good. Just look at manitoba hydro. Bled it dry with there steal from the rich and give to the deadbeats agenda.

I think to a great extent in Canada we get a government which reflects what the public is thinking. Look at Alberta we demanded high quality civil services without a raise in taxes. The conservatives attempted to provide this by spending all our oil revenues today and not saving some oil revenue for the future. Now the NDP is going to tax corporations higher because again the we refuse to be responsible and pay our way.

Federally our leaders show no vision. Again a reflection of the citizens. Look at the thread on Viterra and using falling numbers on 3 hard red. Instead of viewing this as an opportunity to receive more from your wheat you automatically assume they are trying to screw you because they are a big greedy corporation. The narrative in the federal election is how do we get more money to the middle class. The NDP wants to tax big greedy corporations more, the Liberals the greedy rich.

At least the Green Party has a vision. I don't agree with some of their ideas but at least they have the balls to propose something. We need a leader who will discuss how we will compensate for workers displaced by new technologies like 3D printing. We need infrastructure within Canada like the Canada east pipeline, more efficient rail, maybe high speed rail in highly populated areas. Elimination of intra provincial trade barriers to increase trade within Canada. The reversal of cuts to government research.

What are we getting? No vision, just more taxes and a bunch of negative bullshit!!

Your comment ...."Now the NDP is going to tax corporations higher because again the we refuse to be responsible and pay our way. "

Think of it this way. When graincos move grain via truck instead of train they are ruining the highways. They should pay. It's no longer the farmers grain, it's theirs.

Same when tgry chante delifery location to suit their needs.

          Holy shit.

Same when they change delivery locations to suit their needs.

But then again that explains the railways downloading their business to the public highway system. Since they like to reward shareholders rather than invest in their infrastructure.

Gary filmon of the consevatives was the last premier in mb. to run a balanced budget. When the ndp got elected after filmon they threw out the balanced budget legislation. Facts always seem to get in the way of a good story!

seabass sask. fortunes had nothing to do with
                the change in govt.
no law changed that enacted a boom.

commodities prices boomed , which gave sask. a boost.
just as devine was not completely to blame for the mess he left.
                hard times are hard times

if your premise is true , devines open for business , privatization platform should have fixed everything.
                but the opposite occurred.

Harper is playing the same failed strategy devine did, sell it off , privatize it , destroy services.
in hopes that the corp.s that replace the govt. will leave crumbs.
                it does not work.

no concern that a cut in crop research budget , may cost a farmer 100 times more from a private firm .
the 1,000 s $ in extra cost do not show up in the federal budget.

or killing generic drugs , will please their corporate masters but cost cdn.s billions, in the long run.
                they don't care .

                just short sighted Conservative thinking.
                is health care next?

country's like Norway , Germany get ahead by good planning,
                not ideological BS

You know what's more interesting is Harper has openly shown contempt for all Canada. He appointed Duffy, Wallin, and Brazeau to the senate, closed 13 Veteran affairs offices, increased the deficit by 160 billion, wasted 750 million on ads.

Yet, your prepared to cast your vote for him, AGAIN!!!!

Forage are you so blinded by your socialist roots that you can't see we have no option. These guys want farmers to be the bottom of the food chain. We are not from the upper echelon and they want to keep it that way! We are screwed if the NDP or Libs get in.

The f35 deal was nuts we could have bought like ten super hornets for he same price as one of them. Unless we take on a china but then at that point what difference does it make.

If may would stop the tree hugging she could at least be credible enough to consider.

Treaduck is a goof and my kids will be paying off his daddy's debt so....

Muclair is the big bad wolf who scares the bigzeesus out of me.

The devil you know or the one you dont but does it really matter?an illusion of choice.

I see their is some Harper Derangement Syndrome going on in this conversation

It should be interesting on October 19th to see how many "journalists" at CBC lose their mind when Prime Minister Harper wins again.

So one of Trudeau's campaign promises is to run a deficit?
I guess he's more honest then Mulcair.

JAy mo. Young Justin has no plans for a balanced budget for at LEAST THREE years.

All the while the deficit slayer, Paul Martin, runs around with him stating, with a straight face, mind you, that it is fine to run deficits... lol

                                Oh to be a leftist.

Blame Harper for deficits that you forced, and then say deficits should be continued when they are balanced.

                                Oh to be liberal!
