    Feed grains

How much grain that was suppose to be malt or milling will go into feed markets? Grain and feeder cattle markets are linked to a point.Noticed feeder prices have soften but usually does for the early calf run.Or is this because good quality grain and not much feed grains.Or maybe the highs are in for the feeder price cycle.

    Great questions.

Also how many thousand acres of oats were baled for livestock instead of harvested for milling.
This will be bullish for production this year.

With a cattle market fallout now in-progress, feed values may under more pressure. Feed wheat bids appear very attractive (IMO) considering the current market dynamics.

Southern Alberta remains the key determinant of feed barley prices. Cdn barley export prices continue to struggle and remain uncompetitive in global markets. Malt barley prices appear very strong (IMO).

Texas / Kansas cash cattle have traded at $129 to $130/cwt, down $6 this week.
U.S. carcass weights now at a record highs. Wholesale beef prices remain in-decline.
