    Wheat prices...

Soft white keeps climbing at $5.95 and Good hrsw keeps dropping .. Buyers truly do not want high quality wheat it is now in your face they will pay for garbage and try to steal the limo.
Guess we may be switching to garbage - *** the hard red market and green peas for that matter - what a joke.

Quoted close to $6.50 for #1CWRS 15Px for mid winter delivery.

I think it could be better, but don't I always.

$5.95 for immediate delivery swsw with virtually no grade issues blows $6.50 hrsw out the water. Add 20% to swsw yields as well.
Happy for those who grew it and had good yields - that's decent money.
With the grading b/s on hrsw its not even close.

Actually, given world supplies for wheat as burdensome as they are I think wheat has held support surprisingly well. If Russia and Australia continue with dry weather there may be some upside potential.

Hrs production declining in s.mb, lots of faller, prosper, ans pastuer. Some guys have completley dropped hrs for the high yielding lower quality wheats.

Next year might be the year for HRSW with every dropping it like a bad habit. Anyone hauling their Pasteur into U.S for milling price?

If farmers are only going to get 1970's prices for grain, input suppliers, marketers and everything/everybody else should have to only get 1970's prices and wages.

                    Wmoebis,

You just have to produce more grsin over more acres. Economies of scale, efficiency. I remeber meeting a classmate at the crop production show about 12 years ago. He was in expansion mode, "if we cant make it on 2500 acres we will have to try on 5000 acres".
He went on to be a farmer of the year.

economies of scale = second-hand news. grow something of value on whatever scale that works, and get closer to the buyers. that's where the fun is these days.

That could be, hard to believe there was such a small market before.
I woulda lost a bet if someone told me sws would increase in ac and increase in price. Nice to see what looks to be a decent wheat market for that class. Further pushing hwsw into the toilet.
