How come as one of the original guys who were on the Round up Canola seed system back so many years ago has every year my Liberty won on our farm since it was introduced. This year I had three RR varieties vs three liberty and all were 5 to 8 bus higher.

Does this thread require on of those "farmers can be sold anything" comments.

p.s. don't forget to read the disclaimer and prospectus. ;-O

50 bushels give or take doesn't seem like a drought. Looking at other plot data it would seem other areas are about the same.

BTW, if you haven't caught on yet, most of the good canolas, regardless of system, have pretty much the same yields.

Just hauled 76 net bushels per acre dryland canola to the elevator Strathmore area 1200 acre field.

Oh yeh, you rat haters, rub it in. Those of us who got zero rain until July 19 love to hear all about it! Just kidding.

It is a very strange year. The late rains and cool August/Sept really makes Canola happy. Much is a month longer 120 days instead of 90 to mature very different than 2014. Still not close to a killing frost yet.

Does any one ever think that most Albertans are like Texans with if you have 68 we have 76. Every thing is bigger in Alberta.
                  God bless Alberta.
