It would take 500,000 square kilometers of solar cells to power the worlds requirement (oil, electricity gas etc 198,721,800,000,000 kW•h) of power using today's cell technology.

The laws of thermodynamics aren't the limit here. Ideas for conversion and storage so far are. Power from the sun is only one of the many ways.

The best solar panels are to convert around 13 percent of the suns energy into electricity. A panel that captured 50 percent or higher and had a sub 3 year payback would be a complete game changer. Or even a low cost alternative like a photovolaic coating, paint or shingle . Every roof would be covered because it would make cents. Lots of potential there much more so than wind power. The electric car market is growing at a decent pace. Check out the insane mode that Tesla has on some of its models 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds and over 300kms of range.

the value of pi has no mass, same could be said for 2/3. Yes universal constant that defines a circle beautiful thing sure. Going around in circles like arguing with you is infinite too but a circle is one circle.

If a singularity had infinite mass the same would be said of its gravity. The entire universe therefore would collapse into its centre. Instead the universe is expanding at a known rate. Though light may get pulled into a blackhole we escape its grasp every single day.

All things other than a numeric value have a limit. Infinite does not exist in the physical universe. Matter, time, energy, speed, gravity all have limits.

There are many definitions of infinity, Cardinals, Ordinals, Beth Numbers, Hyper Reals, Superreals, Supernatural, Surreals, Surcomplex, Infinite Hilbert space, Infinity of Calculus and Projective Geometry, Real and Long line.

So once again, how do you and most scientists apparently, define a dimensionless point with mass?

Dont know if this is true but isn't like 90% of the mass of the universe unseeable and they call it dark matter and maybe this is what tesla was getting at and possibly the Indian guy.

Tesla's projects were not failers, the were shelved at the time by certain families that needed something to control - ie - oil and coal powered electricity. You could not make millions off of free if you can't change joe public - it's all about money and control. 'They ' made sure he died penniless and branded a cook .

Sorry furrow, in the last 100 years the conspiracy theorists have made it much more then it ever was. Tesla, at the Wardenclyffe site wanted to transmit power. Power that came from a large AC westinghouse generator. JP Morgan would no longer fund his work, especially since Marconi was able to transmit a signal across the Atlantic.

It was never about free energy, it was about transmission. During this time Tesla's patents on AC and motors had ran out and he ran out of money.

Wireless power transmission was never and is never going to happen. The crazies fail to understand that “radiant energy” isn’t “energy all around us,” but rather, is defined as energy in the form of electromagnetic waves. What Tesla patented is no more a “free energy” device than a solar panel is.

The mystique of Tesla is amazing, but it craps all over the inventor he was. Apparently reality in this case is far less interesting.
