    Fert Prices...

Weber's Fert Buddy is out. What are other's seeing? Sure wish we had a "Made In Canada" price. Imaginary freight added to the cost of urea produced in your back yard. **** me.

What's up with FNA's fert plant proposal?

Excerpt from Weber's Fert Buddy, Subscribe it's worth it.

Domestic urea prices continued to move lower both at NOLA and at inland terminals. NOLA granular barge prices traded at $275 to $279 early and fell to $255 to $260 late. There was a small rally at month's end to around $270 for barges, which could make river close, but even that fizzled under pressure from imported product coming in. A good deal of forward business (Dec.-Jan. barges) traded even lower at $250 to $255. Anecdo-tal evidence suggests low wheat prices are discouraging many wheat belt farmers from doing much in the way of fertilizing for next year's crop. Slow demand on that front combined with downward pressure on world urea prices lead us to believe domestic urea prices could keep moving lower in the short term.

I'll get right on that, right after I book and pay for my canola seed in a couple of days.

What lame brain reason did they give for the increase?

Sucks to be me with a leaner crop...

Group buy on a barge? Seems like the retailers are making a very healthy margin. Maybe 40 a ton or so to get it shipped from the coast.

Tell your canola seed guy to piss up a rope and give you the same deal Nov.1 - if they don't - walk.
I am giving my guys the same price today till there done or at least Nov. 1
Some of these companies can go to hell for pressuring farmers into deals - j/c let the guys get done . I don't under stand why farmers don't get the balls to say - piss off till I am ready to spend "my" money on your shit - wake up guys. They will bite like a jackfish on a red/white - if they don't screw them - there are just as good or better r/r varieties out there for the same deal later - wake the heck up.

We were told the same thing today about fert - simply said - we will buy from you next week at the same price "if " we get done so basically - politely - *** off till we are ready and no we will not pay anymore just because of a company deadline or we will go some where else and get it - all of a sudden it was no problem ... get some balls guys..
S/F and others have brought this up before , and I am a black sheep in my business because of my stance for years and I agree 100% with others here, but really come on - stick the " date" up your ass....I and my customers will buy if need be when we are done working 15-20 hrs per day and can think clearly - *** off for now.

Sorry for the rant , I will most likely get my hand slapped tomorrow

That points squarely at whoever has an end of September deadline in AG - seriously!!! That is a slap in the face to every farmer trying to get his/her crop off. Actually it is ignorance at its highest - but many guys will be sucked in

                      Furrow

Don't you hear the ads on the radio.

Don't forget your agristabilty deadline in this busy time of year?

Another reason I won't vote conservative.

I have a September wheat contract that won't be delivered because the elevator is working on other commodities but I will work with them past the contract.

I am getting to that point in my farming life when I don't really give a flying F$K% about any company bull shit any more.
It is insane Most aren't even close to done harvesting and the piranhas are out trying to sell shit you wont use for 7 months or more.
                        **** right off.
