How do you start an online petition or how do we get the message to all political parties. 75% of Canadians do not want ANY of these refugees. We do not want them screened more or less we do not want them here period. Liberals and ndp want them mass shipped in now conaervatives want them screened over a longer period which is what we are already doing.

So instead of spending all the money in housing, transporting, medical, small business grants to them calculate what that all costs for 25,000 or what ever number and spend that money on creating a safe Zone in the Middle East and provide shelter and food. If they get tired of being in the safe zone give them a gun to go fight Isis and stop being cowards flocking to cause all this problem to other countries and fight for the country you want to have. Deport all that have flocked to all the countries what's to stop
All the people from Greece or any other country to just one day start walking to other countries?

We should pick one riding and elect an independant candidate who's message is worry about our own affairs here. Take care of the Canadians that exist now first. We should show everyone how much we don't want our politicians to play these games trying to use the so called refugee situation to gain votes.

I think you forget Canada has a long history of of immigration and accepting refugees. Most of our ancestors were looking for a better life away from poverty and war. Immigration is essential economic growth strategy since birth rates are falling in many developed countries.

Perhaps you need to get off the farm. Our cities and many small towns are full of recent immigrants and some refugees. They are not a drain on the economy. Just ask any employer who is trying to fill lower wage jobs. Who is doing these jobs? It's not laid off oil workers.

Are family re-unifications, seniors, families with small children a high risk? I don't think so.

If you were in their shoes you would be doing the same thing, trying to get the hell away from the from ISIS, Assad and all the other extremists who do not value life.

I thought I heard a stat the other day that said there were more seniors than young people. I forget the actual ages they used but it says something. If the "average" family birthrate falls below 2 children, we are not even replacing the parenting generation.

A society/culture needs to take a look at itself to see why it can't even sustain itself. What's broken? The economics of raising children, lifestyle, social issues?

If it was not for the immigration our school would be closed .One way or another our country needs young tax payers to support our health care and pensions .Baby bombers never had enough kids to do that.Not saying open the gates but it is not realistic to remove ourselves and ignore world human rights issues.

I don't know where you farm but we have entirely immigrants as our labour force. Yes, that is not ideal but I don't have to tell you that a good portion of the generation we are raising now feels entitled and doesn't have a clue how to work. The ones that do have a real education and work ethic can pick any job they want. It is usually something with shorter hours and less risk than farming. As for the immigrant labour force or immigrants in general. It they want to work and integrate into our society and are not just here to use our social programs or turn country into their home land then we really need them...........
