Did anyone else see Ritzs article "grain backlog did not affect farm incomes" His rationale is that incomes did not drop in the years of the grain backlog therefore the backlog did not cost farmers money.
But Gerry we grew record volumes with average to above average world prices. We should have had record farm incomes.
Hard to believe they are willing to put up billions to protect and compensate supply managed producers who have a monopoly.
Meanwhile grain farmers are dealing with a Duopoly in the case of the railways and a oligopoly in the case of the grain companies. It has been proven that wide basis cost us billions and Ritz says everything is great!!!!!!
