That is dollar up over third of a cent or nearly half per cent. Hate to confuse anyone.

It was not exactly unsound logic to say the dollar would go down after a guy who openly wants to run deficits is elected.

Maybe some boys on Bay Street wanted show stability.

more of a case of the election of a majority government.

I would agree, it doesn't matter who is there as long as they can make decisions without another election looming

NDP majority would be the scary result for markets.

agree dml, I think the concern had more to do with a minority gov't, whether CPC or LPC. A majority, especially this large, was unexpected by most, and is viewed naturally, as stable. Good for dollar.

Anyone know where you can get actual poll results from within your riding?
Couldn't find that info at Elections Canada, although I may have missed it there.

Moving forward with TPP will be good for the economy.

Getting a pipeline or two would be a positive as well.

go to www.globalnews.ca Click on view full results (blue script just below results. On that page will get a map of Canada and you can click on your riding to get riding results, turnout, and number of voters.

                        Border,

Elections Canada has a web site tool that has many ways to enter your... or any constituency into it... giving the 2015 results.

                        http://enr.elections.ca/ElectoralDistricts.aspx?lang=e
