    Sask Energy Rates Going Down

Its about time! Natural gas has been about $4.00 for years - I think rates stuck at $14.00 nat gas. must be an election around the corner.

Good to hear it's being reduced for users.

For grain drying this fall we paid 33 cents per liter for propane. (Lower than last fall.)

And did anyone notice the delivery cost rate structure?

That is a significant part of the cost of natural gas service and supply.

      Ergo...maybe no decrease at all

      Here's another example

Roadrunner LTL Announces 4.9% General Rate Increase Effective November 9, 2015
      10/12/2015
      Dear Roadrunner LTL Customers,

On Monday, November 9th, Roadrunner Transportation will implement a general rate increase of approximately 4.9% to all points in the United States and Canada for customers utilizing the RDFS 501 U.S. and 700 Canadian rate bases. The Absolute Minimum Charge, as part of the RDFS-100 rules tariff, will increase by 4.9%.

The rate increase will help offset rising costs of doing business, including enhanced compensation programs to attract and retain quality drivers, new and expanded facilities, increased regulatory compliance, equipment costs, and technology advancements which assist Roadrunner in providing an economical yet reliable solution, with low claims ratio, consistent transit times, and superior customer service.

We thank you for your continued loyalty to Roadrunner. Your partnership with us is important and appreciated. Should you have any questions regarding this general rate increase, please contact your local Account Executive.END OF QUOTE

SAME reasoning as above natural gas example. But real question is if farmers look at their business in anywhere near the same terms.
